Overview
First we will visit the Bodrum Castle is a historical fortification located in southwest Turkey in the port city of Bodrum, built from 1402 onwards, by the Knights of St John (Knights Hospitaller) as the Castle of St. Peter. A transnational effort, it has four towers known as the English, French, German, and Italian towers, bearing the names of the nations responsible for their construction.
The chapel was built around 1407 and the first walls completed in 1437. The castle started reconstruction in the late 14th century, only to be taken over by the Islamic Ottoman Empire in 1523

The Mausoleum of Halikarnassus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its monumental statuary is in the British Museum but some artifacts and replicas of its friezes can be seen on the site.

The Amphitheater seating about 13. 000 spectators the theater dates to the region of Mausolus but with modifications added by the Romans. With rock tombs above, the site provides an unequalled view of the city.

Etrim Halicilik

Walking through small streets, visiting a village house, the hot welcome of the village chief, watching women weaving carpets, the cemetery, the mosque, children shouting 'hello', the coffee house where men sit around and laze away the day while drinking their tea chatting and playing games will all be helpful to understand their life. In the end, a short exhibition of carpets weaved by the women of the village will take place.
